JUST A STORY
CHAPTER ONE. BARBECUE
On the weekend we decided to gather for a barbecue. I decided to bring my ex and new husband together. We all have to be friends, at least, for the sake of our kids.
-"Robert, can you do me a favor? I want you to make friends with my new husband. David is doing his utmost to be polite with everyone here, and you with your suspicion, look as cold as, an iceberg. Are you jealous?" - ask I politely.
-"Come on! Jealous? Give me a break. Tell me, Stacy, do you know anything about this Mr. Noone? Where did he come from? What does he do for his living?" - queried Robert suspiciously.
-"Relax! His name is David Noone. He has moved recently from Denver. That`s why no one ever has heard anything about him. Well, he`s a writer. By the way, tomorrow will be the presentation of his next book. Everyone is invited. Why won`t you come?" -suggest I to Robert.
-"I`m concerned about the kids. It happened so fast. Are you sure he`s doing well with the kids?" - asked my ex-husband.
-"Oh, don`t worry, they adore him. Look at our youngest, Timothy. He doesn`t leave him alone and David is so tolerant with him. Look Robert, when you left us, I thought my personal life was over. I busied myself with taking care of the children. No friends, no personal life. But then, when you got married with Kitty, I felt so lonely and desperate. Next came David. First he was just a good neighbor, but later, I understood, that we like each other. The kids liked him too. Now he`s busy with them all day long."
-When does he create his great stories?" - asked Robert with interest.
-"At night, or when everyone`s out." - reply I proudly.
-"At night? And what about?" - asks my ex smiling.
-"Don`t worry. There`s everything O.K. with sex. Sorry, I have to go! Do you remember about the favor?" ask I.
-"O.K. I`ll try my best. See you around!"
