Spring is near
The birds will come back soon
To see, to breathe, to hear
Their songs and watch the Moon
She's like a bachelorette
The stars are all her suitors
Their dimm silhouettes
Embracing pasts and futures
Of those who ever lived and will
Who walked beneath the sky
Who loved and lost, and lusted
And watched the stars fly by
I've never seen a falling star
Perhaps I've never lived
I watched them from my window sill
And waited, and dreamed
I longed for one to fall,
But none ever did
I'd catch it in a pot
And close it with a lid.
And keep it there till I'm sure
My dream won't turn to ash
I'll pull the lid and let it fly
And let it crash
